Windsutra was a large scale aeolian organ that was designed to activate during desert sandstorms when winds exceeded 60 km/h.  A large hammock enabled up to six people to lie safey suspended in the heart of the aeolian organ during "white out" conditions and listen wrapped in wind and sand to the desert "sing" to them through the  clusters of windflutes fitted to and around the structure. The main structure was encircled by a raked Zen Garden that was maintained by the many visitors to the installation. At night the structure was illuminated by paper lanterns
